  «Mestre Gato» opens academy in DF Sunday

  Next Sunday, at 16 hours Mestre Gato will open his Capoeira Academy. Situated in the Social Club Unidade de Vizinhança, in the L2 North the academy is already accepting the students' enrollments, it will have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 20 to 22 hours. Mestre Gato is the "golden berimbau of Bahia" and is the overseer of the Academy. The teacher will be his son Gato III, who came recently from Bahia, where he gave capoeira course on the Baú Street, in the Garcia neighborhood. The famous Bahian capoeirista is in Brasília since January, working in the Sesi. And it's by the Industry's Social Service that he is giving the capoeira classes for the students, in Clube dos 200, in Taguantinga. The "baptism" of the first class will be on the coming 12th, according to Mestre Gato.
